“A long night of attacks, with fears to come more”

There was a night of intense fighting between Israel and Iran, with both sides trading fire and explosions heard in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Tehran.

Ballistic missiles hit parts of Israel, with at least two people killed and dozens of injured, according to Israeli emergency services.

Iran began its attack on revenge on Israeli strikes aimed at nuclear facilities and military bases on Friday, killing senior commanders and six scientists. Iranian state media reported that civilians were also killed.
