The controversial South African politician, central to the debate over racial relations in the country, was refused to enter the United Kingdom.

The interior office said Julius Malema was considered “non -competitive for the public good” and that it was “undesirable” to give him an entry.

In a letter published by the local media News 24, the United Kingdom government cites his voice support for Hamas, including a speech he delivered after the attacks on October 7, in which he said his own party would arm the group if it enters power.

The United Kingdom also raised its threat to summoning the “slaughter of the white people” and to “take a weapon” as a reason for the rejection.

His Economic Freedom Party (EFF), which went fourth in the South Africa parliamentary elections last year, condemned the decision as “cowardice” and stated that it would suffocate the democratic debate.

Malema was prominent in a video played last month by President Donald Trump during a visit to South Africa President Cyril Ramafosa to the White House.

This is the second time Malema was denied entering the UK in just two months.

The first time the United Kingdom government said it had filed its application too late – this time a British employee in South Africa told the BBC that it was a “essential solution”.

The United Kingdom said it was not entitled to appeal and was likely to be denied future applications, according to News 24.
