Automatic CEO Matt Mullenweg confirmed that the company and its Tumblr’s blogging platform were not working to move WordPress as it was previously announced. The Execute has shared the news PodcastThe project was published on Monday that the project was “hold” indefinitely.

“What we decided is that we are going to be noticeable to the users and users are asking as much as we want to concentrate on,” he told the site. “It was like a more infrastructure, like any big re -architecture. I still want to do it it’s just cleaner but we’re not working on it right now.”

This declaration also raises questions as to what it means to integrate Tumblr with the Open Social Web, known as Federation. By transferring its infrastructure to WordPress, it became a federated app. Mullenweg acknowledged that one of the arguments for taking this step was indicative that it was no longer a priority.

“… in the meantime, I think if there was a big push for the implementation of the feeders, we would only do it at the Tumbler code,” he said.

The Mullenweg further repeated that Tumbler was not profitable and was sustained from the profits of other automatic products. Nevertheless, he said that he was a believer in the future of Tumbler and planned to give it a runway that was necessary to find out things.
