A man from Maryland, who was wrongly deported to Salvador and detained in one of the most famous prisons in this country, was subjected to “heavy beatings” and “torture”, according to new court documents.

Kilmar Abango Garcia’s attorneys, 29 years old, claim that security attacks leave him with visible injuries within a day after he arrived at Sekot Prison.

The Trump administration has previously claimed that Mr. Abrego Garcia was a member of the Salvadorian gang, MS-13, which his lawyers and family have categorically denied.

While officials initially stated that G -N Abango Garcia could never return to the United States, in June he was extradited to Tennessee to face allegations of human trafficking – whom he pleaded guilty.

According to new court documents filed on Wednesday as part of a case that his wife brought against the Trump administration, D -N -Abo Garcia and 20 other detainees were repeatedly beaten when they arrived at the El Salvador or Sekot terrorism center.

Once there, according to the documents, the abrego garcia and 20 other deported prisoners “were limited to metal barrels without mattresses in a crowded cell without windows, bright lights left 24 hours a day, and minimal access to the sanitary.”

The abrego Garcia also claims that he and the other prisoners were “forced to kneel” from 9:00 pm to 6am, “with security, hit anyone who has fallen out of exhaustion.”

At one point, the Guards were supposedly threatened to limit him to the band members who would “tear him apart”.

His abuse has led to the fact that he loses 30 pounds (14 kg) within the first two weeks of his deprivation of El Salvador, according to the complaint.

The Trump Administration has asked the Federal Judge in Maryland to monitor the case to reject the case, arguing that he was outpaced by events after he was returned to the United States. The case was filed by the wife of G -N -Abrego Garcia after his deportation.

For the first time, Abrego Garcia entered the United States illegally in 2011 and received protection against deportation from an immigration judge in 2019, as it was found that it could face the danger of gangs if they were returned to their native Salvador.

But in March 2025, the Maryland resident was deported and originally held in Cecot’s Mega-Prusson of El Salvador, what was later admitted by the Trump administration employees was a mistake. A judge ordered the government to “make it easier” to return, but the White House staff initially refused to return it.

Upon his return to June charges, General Prosecutor Pam Bondi said “this is what American justice seems to be.”

He denied any misconduct and his lawyers called the allegations of traffic “ridiculous”.

At the end of June, a Federal Judge in Tennessee ruled that D -N -Abgo Garcia was entitled to release, but he remained in prison because of fears of his own legal team that he could be quickly deported if he left the facility.
