The double Swedish-Turkish citizen has an extensive list of drugs related to drugs against him, according to the global police agency Interpol.
The 35-year-old, nicknamed Yagoda, is a well-known leader of the criminal gang of Rumba in Sweden. He has been charged with orchestrating illegal operations from abroad and has been the subject of Interpol red notice From last year.
The Swedish police did not identify him, but confirmed the arrest of a man “suspected of having involved serious drug trafficking and inciting serious violence crimes” for many years in Sweden.
He was one in 19 people who were arrested during attacks in Turkey, where officers seized more than a ton of drugs, state television operator TRT said. Just where the raids were made, they were not revealed.
Arrest orders have been issued for 21 more suspects, 14 of which are thought to be abroad and three is already in custody on other charges. Four are still at large, TRT added.
The Turkish authorities have been reported to have seized assets worth about 1.5 billion Turkish pounds ($ 27.8 million; $ 38 million), including 20 vehicles, bank accounts and 51 real estate properties.
The violence of bands in Sweden has escalated in recent years, partly because Abdo’s ex -friend, Rava Magida, is the leader of a rival band, Foxstrot.
Many people have been killed since the beginning of the deadly war on the grass. He entered a new, violent head in 2023, when Abdo’s mother was killed at her home in Uppsala, north of the capital, Stockholm.
Escalation prompted the government to attract the army to help deal with the jump in the killings of bands.
In 2024, Turkish police arrested Abdo during traffic stopping but released him on bail, despite the active notice of Interpol Red against him, a move that sparked criticism from the Swedish authorities seeking to extradite Abdo.
Increasing violence with bands that has struck some of the largest cities in Sweden And it spread to the more suburbs and cities, breaks down its reputation as a safe and calm nation.
Lat year, Sweden Security Service, Sapo, Accused Iran of recruiting Swedish gang members to attack Israeli or Jewish interests. In October, a 13-year-old boy shot shots outside the offices of Israeli technology company Elbit Systems. Israel’s embassies in Sweden and Denmark were also directed.
The right -wing governing coalition in Sweden, which promised to end a wave of crime of the band when it was selected in 2022, will see the capture of Abdo as a victory. However, the fact that he is also a Turkish citizen can complicate the process of extradition.
Approximately 14,000 people in Sweden have fallen into criminal gangs, according to a police report last year, and another 48,000 people say they are related to them.
