Cameroon’s opposition leader Morris Kamto is expelled from the list of candidates in the presidential election on October 12.

Only 13 of the 83 names presented to the electoral body of the country were adopted.

Kamto was second in the 2018 election in the background of fraud allegations. He has not yet commented on the decision.

President Paul Breck, 92 -year -old, the oldest president in the world, has been included in the list and will look for an eighth mandate.

Determining calls for retreat, he says he still has many to offer the Cameroons, even though he has been in power for nearly 43 years.

Beating will be challenged by two former allies, Isa Tiroma Bakari and Belo Buba Maigari, who come from the voices north of the country.

Kamto was turned off because he was one of the two candidates registered to represent the manide’s party.

Although he was officially accepted by the party’s managing body, another candidate in the Splinter group also registered under the party’s name.

The President of the Manidel Anitzet Ekan described the exclusion of Kamto as “arbitrary and provocative”.

“We urge all Cameroons to show calm and restrained, because for the moment it is only an off -socide. This back -back must be sanctioned by the Constitutional Council to which we will turn,” he added.

Those who are disqualified by the presidential race have two days to challenge a legal challenge.

Kamto was the candidate for the Renaissance movement in Cameroon (CRM) in 2018, but the party was not allowed to support anyone this year due to the lack of elected representatives in parliament or local councils.

So recently, Kamto joined the manide party, which has a local representation.

The well -known corruption lawyer Akere Muna, the leader of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) Joshua Osich and the legislator Cabral Libia are among other candidates cleared to rule.

Firebrand Mayor Fumban Patricia Tomano Ndam Neoa is the only candidate for women on the list.
