Five people were killed in a mass shooting of food market in Bangkok, according to Thai officials.

The suspected market attack or Tor Kor is also dead, police confirmed in the capital of Thailand.

The market or Tor Kor is well known for high quality fresh fruits and seafood.

The degree of ownership of weapons in Thailand is relatively high in the region, and incidents with mass shooting are not common, but the country has been observed by several deadly incidents in recent years.

In 2023, a 14-year-old boy killed two people and wound five others when shooting at a luxury shopping center in downtown Bangkok.

Former Polyk killed at least 37 people, most of them, with a pistol attack and a knife at a children’s center in Nong Boa Lamhu province in Northeast Thailand in October 2022.

In 2020, a soldier killed 29 people and wounds more in the town of Nahon Ratchasima.
