Uber Its on Wednesday announced that it will now allow restaurants and merchants to chat with customers so that it helps prevent problems with orders. The app is also launching new AI tools for merchants and users are inviting users to submit photos of their order if the item still does not have a menu image.
With the new “Live Order Chat” feature, merchants can confirm the replacement of items sold, clarify special requests, and to convey customers in real-time to do things like dietary or allergy preferences.
Uber has said that users cannot start chatting with merchants, because customers can only convey the merchants if they contact them. Live order chat is available for both delivery and pickup order and once the meal is given to a courier or customer for pickup.
