The family of Israeli hostage Evaatar David, held by Hamas in Gaza, accused the group of intentionally starving as part of a “propaganda campaign”.

The family statement on Saturday came a day after Hamas released a video showing a burned David in a narrow concrete tunnel.

The 24 -year -old David was captured by his seizure from Hamas at the South Israel Music Festival on October 7, 2023.

“We are forced to witness our beloved son and brother, Evaatar David, intentionally and cynically starving in Hamas’s tunnels in Gaza – a living skeleton, buried alive,” the family statement added.

The hostage family also called on the Israeli government and the global community to do “everything possible to save an Evgar.”

In the video, published by Hamas, Evyatar David is heard, saying “I have not eaten for days … I barely have drinking water” and it can be seen that he is digging what he says he will be his own grave.

During his attack on Israel nearly two years ago, Hamas seized 251 hostages. David is one of 49 hostages that Israel says are still held in Gaza. This includes 27 hostages that are thought to be dead.

Israel has been accused by agencies for pushing a gas to hunger, being armed food in his war against Hamas – an accusation he denies.

Israel said that there is no hunger and does not impose restrictions on the assistance of Gaza – claims rejected by his close allies in Europe, the UN and other agencies active in the tape.

On Saturday, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said “continues a series of actions aimed at improving the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip.”

It states that 90 assistance packages containing food for residents in southern and northern Gaza have been thrown away in the last few hours as part of the cooperation between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, France and Germany.

Meanwhile, Hamas Gaza’s Ministry of Health said seven more people, including a child, have died from malnutrition on Saturday.

The Ministry of Health said that the total number of deaths from malnutrition after the war began after the start of the war, including 93 children.

Also on Saturday in Gaza, the Ministry of Health said at least 83 were killed and 1,079 injured as a result of Israel’s military offensive in the last 24 hours.

Al-Avda Hospital in Nusayrat told the BBC that she had received the bodies of three people killed by Israeli forces near the distribution of help on Salah Al-Din Street, south of the Vadi Gaza area, run by the US Humanitarian Foundation and Israeli Gaza (GHF). The hospital said at least 36 were injured.

The IDF said his troops “fire warning shots” hundreds of meters from the aid distribution site, not during their operational hours, after the crowd does not comply with their calls not to target them “in a way that poses a threat.”

“IDF is not aware of the victims as a result of warning photos and the details of the incident are still being considered,” the message said.

GHF said there is nothing today in or near our sites.

International journalists, including the BBC, are blocked by Israel to enter the gas independently, making it difficult to check the claims.

Israel imposed a common blockade of supplies for Gaza in Gaza in early March and resumed his military offensive against Hamas two weeks later, collapsing with the end of the fire to two months. It says he wants to put pressure on the group to release his other Israeli hostages.

The blockade was partially relieved after 11 weeks against the background of hunger warnings by global experts, but the shortage of food, medicine and fuel remained, the agencies said.

Israel launched its offensive in Gaza in response to an attack led by Hamas on October 7, 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed.

Hamas -run health authorities say 60,430 people were killed as a result of the Israeli military campaign.
