Nigerian military says he has killed dozens of bandits in the State of Zamfara

The Nigerian Air Force killed dozens of artillerymen, known as “bandits”, who were members of criminal bands operating in Zamfara, the military said.

Military forces said in a statement on Monday that an attack in MacAckari Forest, Northwestern Nigeria, which was the hiding place of the artillerymen who were thought to be behind some abductions in the area.

It says that he performed the operation after the observation opened more than 400 gang members preparing to attack the village.

In the last two weeks, the armed gangs have turned to the settlements nearby, killing results and abducting many others. At least 13 security employees are also killed.

Air strikes, in coordination with the attacks on Earth, led to the death of “several notorious bandit Kingpins and dozens of their feet,” said Air Force spokesman Ehimen Ejodame.

He added that earthly forces capture and kill others, trying to escape from the forest.

In parts of Nigeria, abduction for ransom has become a lucrative business for some.

The bandits, motivated by financial profit, also increase their cooperation with jihadist groups who have led a 16-year-old armed uprisings in the northeast.

In recent years, the military has started a number of operations against gangs, including last month, when at least 95 gang members were killed – but violence continued.
