Royalty and veterans mark VJ day 80 years onwards

The King and the Queen led a two -minute silence to Staffordshire service in honor of 80 years since VJ’s day.

Among those present were veterans, some of whom participated in the ceremony, taking wreaths and testifying.

VJ’s Day or Japan Day is celebrated every year on August 15 – the date in 1945, when Japan surrendered to the Allied Forces and World War II ended.
