Donald Trump said he wanted to circumvent the fire in Ukraine in order to move directly to a constant peace agreement after meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In a major change in position, the US President told Truth Social after a Friday summit that it would be “the best way to end the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine”, adding the end of the arrest, often “do not”.

Trump will welcome Volodimir Zelenski, President of Ukraine, in Washington on Monday and called on him to agree to a peaceful deal.

After a phone call with Trump after a summit, Zelenski called for a real, lasting peace, adding that the “fire should stop” and the killings stop.

Trump’s comments show a dramatic change in his position on how to end the war, saying only on Friday on Friday before the summit that he wanted to stop fire “fast”.

Ukraine’s main request was the rapid termination of fire before talking about a long -term agreement and reported that Trump had previously told European leaders that his goal for the summit was to receive a fire termination transaction.

Meanwhile, numerous news publications reported on Saturday that Putin presented an offer involving Ukraine, passing in full control over its Eastern Donetsk region, which is 70% occupied by Russia.

In return, Russia will agree to the frozen front lines and obviously other unspecified discounts are offered.

The US president, who has previously stated that any peace transaction will include “Territory Exchange”, says he has submitted Zeber’s proposal in a phone call after the summit.

Just a few days ago, the President of Ukraine ruled out the control of the giving up of the Donbass region – compiled the regions of Luhansk and Donetsk – stating that it could be used as a springboard for future Russian attacks.

The US partner of the BBC CBS has announced, citing diplomatic sources that European diplomats have been concerned about Trump, may try to put pressure on Zelenski on Monday to agree to deal with the conditions he and Putin may have discussed at the summit.

CBS cites sources that Trump told European leaders in a call after the summit that Putin would make “some discounts”, but failed to specify what they are.

In an interview with Fox News, after the Friday summit, Trump was asked what advice he had for the Ukrainian leader, to which he answered, saying “Make a Deal.”

“Russia is a very big power and they are not,” he added.

Previously, Trump threatened “very grave consequences” if Putin did not agree to end the war, last month set the deadline for Moscow to reach fire or face difficult new sanctions, including secondary tariffs.

A little was announced by an agreement by every president after a summit on Friday, but Trump insisted that progress had been made.

On Saturday, Putin described the summit as “very useful” and said he was able to “expose our position” to Trump.

“We had the opportunity we did, to talk about the genesis, about the causes of this crisis. It is the removal of these root causes that should be the basis for settlement,” the Russian president said.

Meanwhile, the “Coalition of Desire” – a group of countries that promised to strengthen support for Ukraine, which includes the UK, France and Germany – will call Sunday afternoon before the Zelenski visit to the White House on Monday.

A group of European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, said “the next step should be more conversations, including President Zelenski.”

Leaders said they were “ready to work” at a three -sided summit with European support.

“We are ready to support the pressure on Russia,” they said, adding, “It will depend on Ukraine to make decisions on their territory. International boundaries should not change by force.”

The United Kingdom Prime Minister Kayer Starmer praised Trump’s efforts to end the war, saying that they “have closer us from ever.”

“While progress has been made, the next step must be more conversations related to President Zelenski. The path to peace in Ukraine cannot be resolved without it,” he said.

And in Kyiv, Ukrainians have described the feeling “crushed” by the scenes from Alaska.

“I understand that you are shaking hands, you can’t just clap Putin in the face when he arrives. But this performance with the red carpet and the kneeling soldiers, it’s terrible, it doesn’t make sense,” said Sergi Orlik, a 50-year-old veteran from the Eastern Donetsk region.
