If you try to get AI to do all your work, this is definitely harmful, because then you will lose writing and reading skills. It can make the students more lazy. However it is your loss, if you are using it to cheat on your job.
It seems to me that nowadays AI is portrayed in a very bad light, as it is taking away everyone’s work and people are working for them. But I think people do not understand that AI you are training it. What technology are we creating, isn’t it? There are many ways that we can solve problems with AI, until you use it for the right things. If you want to do well in this world, you should be able to use a new technology in a better way that will benefit everyone.
Wherever I live in Colorado, we have a lot of wildlife vehicles collision. So a few years ago, I decided to try to create a tool to help solve the problem. I have come up with this idea to my computer science teacher and some other students and I have created a device that can detect deer that you can put in your car. In our case, AI was really effective, because what we had to do was data feed in the model: I used to do several hundred thermal video frames through a computer vision model to recognize deer and other large wildlife, which manually analyzed our device to detect real-time on the street without analyzing footage. I first heard about AI in the middle school, when Snapchat added it to the chat message feature. At first, I was like, Wow, cool, it may probably make my life perfectly easyThe I have begun to use it for ordinary questions to help my homework.
Now, I don’t use it at all. This is very down to the teachers and students in my school. If you are caught using AI or Chatzipt, you will be kicked out of school.
I think AI is penetrating everything. My older sister uses the chatzipi but I want she to stop using it, as it does so much damage to the environment. My younger sister uses AI to answer the text messages. It’s just a little glimpse of what may be in the future and it is a kind of scary, because it is not normal.
Social media has already occupied human personalities and AI has accelerated the process. If you ask AI how to respond to a message and it gives you an automatic response, it will affect the way you think people are reacting. Finally, when you use a robot’s advice, you become a robot. – Mahama Kaba, 15, The Bronx, New York
I go to an AI-The-Ho-High School, where AI is integrated into our class, such as through data science and programming. Teachers actually taught how to use it first and then let us use it. The biggest thing is to ask yourself: Why am I using AI right now? Am I using it to make my job better? I am using it because I’m too lazy to do it?
Basically, you need to use your AI to cut off the monotonous tasks that you don’t need to do. From there, you bring back that human innovation and originality.
My first true experience with AI was in my AP Human Geography class when we were looking at a blizard that took place in Atlanta in the 2000s. We were watching data on how people were able to get home, so it was a lot of big data – thousands and thousands of thousands. So we have used an AI program to split these numbers and buggy, and then we have been able to understand what our critical thinking is the best resources, and if something like this happens again, how to react how the government should respond.
