5000 Help trucks await permission on the border with Rafa

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa and Egypt Foreign Minister Badr Abdelati made their first visit to the Egypt border point with Gaza.

This is the only entry point that Gaza shares with a country other than Israel, but access to Gaza from there is already closed and under Israeli military control.

Long tails of trucks loaded with consumables are waiting to be cleared to enter another Israeli intersection nearby.

The UN says more food is now entering Gaza after images of starving children have caused international outrage. But they say that much more help should come in much faster.
