In a step to remind the first days of Facebook, Tiktok is launching a new feature that allows college students to find and connect others on their campus. The feature known as campus verification allows users to add their college campus to their ticket profile and browse students through a list of students in their school.

To access the feature, users need to navigate to their profile and tap the “Add School” button. From there they have to enter their school names and then choose their undergraduate year.

They actually have to provide their academic email address to verify the school they have entered. Once complete, their college name and undergraduate year will be displayed on their profile.

Users can then browse their school pages, filters them through a graduate year, and see all the users who have added the school to their profile. They may first pick up the list of users to show the most followed users.

The feature is available across the university over 6,000 through Tiktok’s partnership UnidasA student verification platform that ensures the student’s status.

Tiktok says that the idea behind the feature is to turn its platform into a center for real-universe and to include campus, which was basically the key to Facebook’s original mission when it was launched in 2004 as a way to connect to each other.

The new feature of the ticket can be a welcome addition to college students to connect with others on campus. But it also raises concerns about digital privacy, as it can make users easier to track others online. Of course, the feature is AL Chhosik, so those who prefer to keep their ticket presence separate from their student life can only choose not to add their school to their profile.
