Meta rolls out AI-powered translations to creators globally, starting with English and Spanish

Meta is launching an AI -driven voice translation feature to all users on Facebook and Instagram, the company Declaration Tuesday

The new feature is available in any market to Meta AI available, allowing the creators to translate content in other languages so that it can be seen by a wide audience.

The feature was first Declaration Last year at the Meta Connect Developer Conference, the company said that it would check the automatic translations of relay creators across both Facebook and Instagram.

Meta notes that AI translations will use the sound and tune of the Creator’s own voice to make the word dubbed voice pure when translating content in a new language.

Furthermore, manufacturers can use a lip sync feature alternatively to align the translation of their lips, which makes it more natural.

During the launch, the feature supports English from English and vice versa, more languages will be added over time. These AI translations are available worldwide with 1000 or more followers and all public Instagram accounts, where the meta AI is offered to Facebook manufacturers.

To access the option, manufacturers can click “Translate Your Voice with Meta AI” before publishing their reel. Creators can then toggle the button to launch translations and choose whether they want to include lip syncing. When they click “Share now” to reveal their reel, the translation will be automatically available.

Manufacturers can view translations and lip syncs before posting publicly and can toggle both alternatives at any time. (Rejecting the translation will not affect the original reel, the company notes)) Viewers will see a notice below to see the translated reel that indicates that it was translated with meta AI. Those who do not want to see the reels translated into selected languages can disable it in the settings menu.

Manufacturers are also gaining access to a new metric on their insight panel, where they can view their views in language. It can help better understand how their contents have reached the new audience through translations – which will be more helpful as the additional languages are supported over time.

Meet Proposed Those manufacturers who want to use the feature forward, are clearly talking and avoiding covering their face while recording. The minimum background sound or music also helps. The feature just supports two speakers and the translation should not talk to each other for work.

Also, Facebook manufacturers will be able to upload a relay to extend their audience outside the English or Spanish -speaking market up to 20 of their own dubbed audio tracks. It is given in the “Closed Caption and Translation” section of the Meta Business Suite and supports the translation addition both before and after the AI feature.

Meet Say More languages will be supported in the future, but did not say which one will come or when will it be.
