The Favorite Fast Food Chain of the Philippines Jollibee said the scammers had misled the results of his online raffle after complaints from customers and a brief government investigation.

Jolibi said “deceptive third parties” have made numerous records, despite existing precautions “for a chance to win food and tickets for concerts.

The company said it had complied with the government investigation and that the situation had been corrected.

Many social media users were distrustful when the names of the winners were posted on the Jollibee page on Facebook last week. They said that names such as hobby dynamics, noble beer and alpha -cork could be made with the help of AI.

Jolibi said “has immediately applied corrective measures” and disqualifies “invalid winners in the main awards.” He also stopped successful draws and said that a re -download would be held.

“We want to assure everyone that we have looked at the fully raised questions and strictly follow the investigation initiated by the Ministry of Trade and Industry,” Jolibi said in a statement on Wednesday.

The names in the list of winners confused social media users as they are rare in the country. The Philippine First and Family Names are a combination of English and Spanish, inherited by their former colonizers, the United States and Spain.

The names also include Belle Thompson, Arielle Wintheiser and Gilda Block.

“Like serious?!?!” A Facebook user commented. “Your AI must be too lazy to come up with such names.”

“They probably think people don’t have time to read,” another writes.

Some have made comparisons of a corruption dispute involving Vice President Sarah Duterte, whose service supposedly paid state funds to persons with fictional sound names.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry said on Wednesday that “it will continue to control the renewal of the Jollibee Burger Promo promotion, guaranteeing” justice and transparency in all promotional endeavors “.

Jollibee started as an ice cream store in the 70s before opening its first Burger restaurant in the center of Manila in the early 1980s. He has quickly expanded his business over the last five years, acquiring the chain of a cafe of the American cafe The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and the Hong Kong Dimsum chain, Tim Ho Wan.

Its founder Tony Tan Kekigg is the son of poor immigrants from southern China. The mascot of the chain, a constantly smiling bee with a red jacket, is a nod to the hardworking nature of the Filipinos.

Generations of Filipinos have viewed the brand as part of their national identity, with its signing fried chicken, burgers and spaghetti becoming a major for family gatherings.

In 2014, the shortage of his fried chicken meat led to the trend of #chickensad on social media.

Jollibee has 1600 stores in 17 countries, including the United Kingdom, the US, Spain and Singapore.
