In a social post of truth, President Donald Trump called for a review of the museums of Smithsonian institutions, criticizing their depiction of the US history as “horrible” and saying that they focus too much on “how bad is slavery.” The White House says it plans to complete the review process in the beginning of 2026, before the festivities of the 250th anniversary in the country.
The BBC went to the National Museum of African -American History and Culture in Washington to ask visitors what they did from the comments of the president and their experience from the exhibits inside.
