A tense debate in the Mexican Senate descended into a feud between two of the most habitual politicians of the Chamber on Wednesday.

Senator Alejandro Moreno of the opposition Institutional Revolutionary Party (PR) grabbed Senate President Gerardo Fernandez Noronia, wanting to be allowed to speak.

After some pushing and bumping, Moreno threw strokes and a photographer who came in was wounded.

Temperatures have already diverged throughout the debate about the presence of armed forces from other countries of Mexican soil.

But it wasn’t until the national anthem was singing, Senator Moreno, angry, that he was not allowed to speak during the debate, physically encountered Fernandez Norona.

The Senate leader said he would convene an emergency session to suggest expelled Moren and three other opposition MPs who joined the fight.
