The United Kingdom has temporarily closed its Embassy in Cairo after the Egyptian authorities removed security barriers outside the building against a diplomatic order for the arrest of an activist.
The United Kingdom said its main embassy building in the area of the capital Garden City would remain closed, “until the impact of these changes is being reviewed,” but added that the embassy remains operatively.
The decision follows increasing calls in the country to respond to the processing of the United Kingdom to a protest in London, the reports said.
