Meta’s president of global affairs, Nick Clegg, is leaving the social media platform to be replaced by Joel Kaplan, a prominent Republican known for overseeing the company’s relationship with conservatives.

In the past, Facebook has denied allegations that some people, including Kaplan, exerted political influence over its decision-making process and the treatment of politicians.
