E-Commerce Shipping Startup Deliver made and sold with Shopfi for $ 2.1 billion In 2022, co-founder and CEO Harish Abbott know the logistics well.
Abbott felt that many manual work in logistics could be automated using AI. This is why he launched the Augmen last year, which provided an AI assistant called “Augi” which could take the weary and recurrent acts performed by freight shippers, carrier and brokers.
On Thursday, Augmented announced that it raised the Redpoint with the participation of 8 VCs, Autotech Ventures and others in an 85 million series led by Redpoint. The startup came out of the stealth with a huge $ 25 million round, just five months after it was launched out of the stealth.
Abbott tells TechCrunch, “Freight and logistics are a very large industry that hiring a lot of people who are busy chasing email, documents, phone calls, text messages all day,” Abbott told Techchen. “Augi can take care of all like their own personal assistant, so they can concentrate on relationships and discussions.”
Today, the logistic process can perform seven main tasks, starting from tracking companies, tracking the packages on the route, creating a burden – the method of combining multiple shipments to maximize the space of the truck – and collecting shipment documents to ensure timely billing.
All of these processes usually involve numerous phone calls, emails or texts exchanged among different participants in the logistic process. Opening multiple channels like Agni Voice, Email, Slack, SMS and Telegram can help people to make those contacts easier.
Although Agent is not releasing his revenue, Abbott says that the company has made more than twice the number of customers working since its seed round.

Although many customers are still testing the product, fully powered clients such as the Armstrong Transport Group are already gaining significant productivity with enhancement, such as reduced by 40% of the shipment delay.
Redpoint managing director Jacob Efron says he has invested in the growth after talking to several Augmented clients. “Customer’s response is truly amazing. People really like the product i think they use it in quite ubiquitous ways.”
The Round of Big Fund will work towards the appointment of 50 engineers and then adding more features. Abbott said, “This is a large, fragmented market it’s complicated, it is a messy the systems are somewhat archaeological and seald,” Abbott. “We have to have many engineers because these companies use lots of software systems.”
The company is currently serving in the trucking industry, but its long -term attitude is to extend to international shipping and other aspects related to logistics.
Abbott is not alone in following AI for logistics. Other AI assistants for freight management include Bhuma and Fleet Works. Meanwhile, the Shipping Giants FedEx and UPS have indicated that they are investing in owned AI technology.
However, not all competitions do Abbott periodically. “We have a lot of acceptance,” he said. “Augi does really great things. Augi is really thinking and acting like humans and acting in it, so it saves everyone a lot of time”
