The crowds flock to the Vatican while a teenager made a first millennial saint

The first millennial saint was canonized by Pope Leo on Sunday, with thousands attending the ceremony in Rome.

Carlo Akutis, born of London an Italian boy, died of leukemia in 2006, 15 years old.

He is referred to as the “Internet Patron” for his working wonders online and performs websites for Catholic organizations.

A photo of Carlo Akuti hung on St. Peter’s Square as the Pope praised the young man’s faith.

A second man was also canonized, Pierre Giorgio Frasatti, an Italian enthusiast of mountaineering who served the poor and sick, and died in 1925.
