Israel has warned all residents of Gaza to leave immediately in anticipation of a huge offensive.
The spokesman for the military Arabic told a million Palestinians living in the largest city center of gas for evacuation to the south. “Staying in the area is extremely dangerous,” he said.
On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that air strikes that have destroyed buildings with tall buildings in the city of Gaza in recent days are “only the beginning of the main, intense operation” to capture what he described as the last important fortress of Hamas.
Hamas said his remarks were “a public demonstration of a fully derived crime of forced displacement.”
Israel’s plan for the conquest of Gaza also brought international criticism.
The UN has warned the intensification of the offensive in an area where hunger has already been declared will push the civilians into a “even deeper crash”.
The announcement from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) – both in leaflets descended over the city of Gaza and published on social media by its Arab spokesman Kohl Avichai Adrui – it was unambiguous.
“To all residents and attendees in Gaza and all its areas, from the Old Town and the Tuff area east to the sea to the west: IDF is determined to beat Hamas and will work in the city of Gaza with great determination, as is the whole strip of Gaza,” says
“For your safety, evacuate immediately,” she added.
Israel’s security cabinet approved a plan for the conquest of the whole gas after indirect conversations with Hamas to end the fire and the dealing deal by hostage fell apart in July.
IDF is said to defeat Hamas after 23 months of war and return the 48 hostages, still held by the armed group, 20 of which are thought to be alive.
In recent weeks, Israeli air and terrestrial attacks against Gaza have increased.
At night, there were additional air strikes on buildings, which IDF said Hamas was being used to attack his troops.
Netanyahu said in a video on Monday afternoon that 50 tall buildings had been destroyed in Gaza in the previous two days.
“Now all this is just the introduction, only the beginning of the main intensive operation – the basis of the invasion of our forces,” he added.
“Therefore, I take this opportunity to tell the residents of Gaza, listen to me carefully: You are warned: Get out of there!”
Hamas said Netanyahu’s remarks were “a public demonstration of a fully derived crime by forced displacement under the weight of the bombing, massacre, starvation and death threats.”
The photos showed a stream of people moving south along the coastal road from Gaza on foot, donkey strollers and vehicles on Tuesday, but there were no signs of mass eviction.
Hanaa, the mother of three, told the BBC that she did not know where to bring his family so that he would behave until they were in a “real danger”.
“If I knew (somewhere I go), I would leave (so far) and take my family and children,” she said.
Hanaa lost his own home in Israeli bombing at the beginning of the war and has since been displaced with relatives.
She said that “nothing can describe” how she and her relatives feel now.
Razan Salha, a student, said she had fled from Gaza two days ago due to the bombing and now shares a room with about 20 relatives in the central city of Deir al-Balah.
“We moved by car at a price of $ 375 (276 pounds). Not everyone was displaced – there are still people in the city of Gaza because they have nothing to go or there is no transport at the right price,” she told the BBC in a voice note.
Razan said “instability and homelessness” had left her “very, very tired”, adding, “I lost my hope.”
Last week, UN agencies and their humanitarian partners said the announcement of enhanced Israeli military operations in the city of Gaza on August 7, “there were horrific humanitarian consequences for people in the displacement places.”
They have warned that many households cannot move because of the high costs and logistics challenges, as well as the lack of safe space. And they said that commanding hundreds of thousands to move south could be forcibly transfer under international law.
On Sunday, they announced that more than 97,000 people were recently displaced since August 14. But only 50,000 were observed, intersecting from north to southern gas, as the Israeli military had instructed.
IDF told them to go to the newly designated “Humanitarian Zone” in Al Mavasi.
He said the area includes a major infrastructure, including field hospitals and water pipelines, and that food, tents and drug supplies will be delivered there in coordination with international organizations.
However, Al-Mavasi has been repeatedly bombed by the Israeli forces during the war, and the UN does not say that anywhere in gas cannot be considered “safe”.
The UN also warned that the tent camps were already overcrowded there and local hospitals operate several times their capacity.
He said a limited number of tents have been delivered in recent weeks, but many more are needed for hundreds of thousands of displaced people.
The UN said Israel – which controls the border crossroads of gas – should also allow enough food and other supplies to stop the spread of hunger.
On Sunday, UN Humanitarian Chief Tom Fletcher warned that there was a narrow window by the end of September to prevent hunger from expanding to the central city or Deir al-Bala and the southern city of Han Enis, and the window was “closing fast”.
As the UN supported global food security experts confirmed hunger in the city of Gaza on August 22, Hamas Health Ministry in Gaza said at least 121 people were killed by starvation and malnutrition throughout the territory.
Israel said it was expanding its efforts to facilitate the supply of assistance and challenged the data of the Ministry of Health regarding the death related to malnutrition.
The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza in response to an attack led by Hamas against southern Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 others were hostage.
At least 64 605 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since then, according to the health ministry in the territory.
