Macron Names ally sébastien lecornu as a new French prime minister

President Emanuel Macron has appointed the close ally Sebastien Directors as a new French Prime Minister, 24 hours after a vote of trust, expelled Francois Bairu as the leader of his government.

Lecornu was among the favorites to take over the work and in a statement, the Elysée Palace said he had been tasked with consulting political parties in order to accept the next budget of France.

Bayro had visited the president hours earlier to convey his resignation, making the way to Directors to become the fifth Prime Minister of Macron’s second term as president.
