At least 35 people were killed in Israeli air strikes in Hutti-controlled regions of Yemen on Wednesday, according to the Iranian Group Health Ministry.
The Israeli military said they had struck military goals in the capital Sana and the province of Al-Jauf, including what he called “the Hutis Military Relations Headquarters”, in response to the last missile and drones attacks against Israel.
However, Hutiis military spokesman said the goals were civilians, adding that journalists and passers -by were killed when the offices of two newspapers were hit.
In the early hours of Thursday, the Israeli military said it had captured a rocket fired by Yemen.
The Hutists did not comment on the launch, but one of the group’s leaders swore to respond to Israeli strikes “with all his might.”
Last month, Israeli strike in Sana killed the Prime Minister of Hutti’s Government Ahmed Al-Rahawi and several ministers.
Videos, published online on Wednesday afternoon, showed that the salbs of black smoke, rising from the places of several explosions in the sanctions, and the first responses seeking through the rubble of damaged buildings.
The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has announced in a statement that the plane has struck an unspecified number of military goals in the capital and in Al-Jauf, including military camps, a fuel storage facility and what it calls the Hutis Public Relations Department.
It states that the department is “responsible for the distribution and distribution of propaganda communications in the media, including the statements of Huty’s leader Abdul Malik (Al-Huti) and of the Yaya Sarea spokesman.”
The military camps were used to plan attacks against Israel, he added.
These attacks include the launch of hundreds of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and surface missiles to the surface to the Israeli territory for almost two years. Most are captured, but a drone hit an airport in southern Israel on Sunday, injuring one person.
“A few days ago, we eliminated most of the members of the Huti terrorist government. In response, Hutis fired two days ago at Ramon airport,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during an event in Bat Yam, in Central Israel.
“This does not weaken our determination – today we hit them again from the air, their terrorist facilities, their terrorist bases with a large number of terrorists and other facilities. We will continue to strike us. Who hits us that attacks us – we will reach them.”
Hutti’s military spokesman Sareya said his air defense had engaged the Israeli aircraft and denied that the rocket launcher was affected.
“(Israel) strikes the purely civilian targets,” he said.
Al-Masirah’s television from the group announced that the strikes in Sana have struck a medical station in the urban southwest, the headquarters of the Morale Direct Directorate in the central Al Tahrir district and the newspaper offices on September 26, which are said to cause casualties and major damage to nearby houses.
The channel also said there were strikes of a government complex and a branch of the central bank in the city of Al-Hazm, in the province of Al-Jauf.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Anes al-Asbahi, said on Wednesday evening that 28 people had been killed and 113 were injured in Sana and that seven other people were killed and 18 injured in Al-Jaf.
He added that the death number would probably increase, as the first responders still seek missing people under the ruins of destroyed buildings.
The head of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen Mahdi Al Machat said: “Zionist aggression against our country has failed.”
“All the Israelis must remain on the alert as revenge is inevitable. The attack gave us a greater opportunity to react with full force,” he warned.
The Hutists have controlled much of the northwestern Yemen since they discarded the internationally recognized government of the country from there 10 years ago, igniting a civil war.
They began attacking Israel and international shipping in the Southern Red Sea and the Gulf of Adena shortly after the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza in October 2023, saying they were acting in support of the Palestinians.
Israel has committed many circles of air strikes against Huti, avenging the hundreds of rockets and drones that have been launched in the country by Yemen.
The United States and the United Kingdom also made air strikes in Huti Yemen -controlled in response to Hutis attacks against dozens of merchant ships.
