Nepal’s army deployed patrols on the streets, as the Himalayan nation rolled out of its oldest excitement for decades. The prime minister left and the homes of politicians were vandalized, and government buildings and parliament were burned.

The streets of the capital of Nepal have a heavy military presence, with the barricades being erected outside the parliament and the Supreme Court.
