PayPal is introducing a new way to send each other money by paying peer-to-peer (P2P) through one-time links. The system, known as PayPal Link, complements the existing feature of the company called PayPal ME, which will exist as a way to share your profile information and make it easier to receive and pay.

The company explains that PayPal ME links are not a requested payment to pay a certain amount – how much they plan to pay until the at least the receiver is input.

PayPal ME links were used only to get paid. The new PayPal links, however, select the link option for the customer, input the amount, and then copy the link to a conversation and allow the other person to request or pay. This makes the feature more useful without the need to detect and verify their profile or account information for a one -time payment or direct request with another person. As a result, payments make the payments faster, there are less steps involved.

Furthermore, PayPal links will soon be able to support Crypto in the United States, allowing users to send Bitcoin, Eotherium, PYUSD and more to PayPal, Venomo and other digital wallets that support Crypto and Stabalikoen.

The feature will first be available for users in the United States, but will expand the UK, Italy and elsewhere in other markets later this month.

To create a PayPal link, users open the PayPal app and enter the payment details or request to create a unique, one -time link. This link is personal and simply associated with that transaction.

These PayPal links can then be used in online conversations, texts and DMs where money, expenditures and purchase are being discussed. Any claimed links expire after 10 days, though users can send a reminder at any time or cancel the payment link at any time when needed.

The recipient taps the link to complete the request or to receive money in the PayPal app, where the funds are instantaneously moved.

Personal payments are exempted from reporting 1099, the company notes.
