Google rolls out new Windows desktop app with Spotlight-like search tool

Google Declaration Tuesday that is launching a new experimental app for Windows that are designed to help people quickly find people. The app will allow their computer files, installed apps, Google Drive files and web to use an alt + space shortcut to search for information immediately.

The search bar works similar to Mac’s spotlight search, which allows users to quickly find something on their device and the web.

The new app is available through this Search labGoogle’s experimental program that allows people to test the early stages of the features and provide feedback before they are widely published.

Google notes that the app has a built -in Google lens, which means people can choose and search for anything like translating images or texts on their screen, helping in math homework and many more. Users can get more deep response in Google’s AI mode, its search feature that allows users to ask complicated, multi-part questions through an AI interface.

Users have the option of switching all the results, AI mode, image, shopping and videos and many others. There are also options to switch in dark mode.

The new app requires a PC in Windows 10 or older for users in English and USA.
