Madeleine McCan suspect Christian Brukner released from German prison

The main suspect in the case with a high -profile case of Madeleine McCan’s disappearance was released from prison in Germany, where he was serving a sentence for an unrelated crime.

Christian Brusner was expelled from prison by his lawyer. He was not visible in the car, but police confirmed that he had left the Sehnde prison.

He was convicted of raping an elderly woman in Praya to Luz in Portugal in 2005 and will be provided with an ankle label after his release from prison in Sehde near Hanover.

A 48 -year -old German citizen has never been charged with a crime regarding McCan’s case. He denies every participation.

Madeleine disappeared into the Portuguese resort of Prai Da Luz in 2007. She and her siblings were left to sleep in a holiday apartment while her parents, Kate and Gerry, went to a nearby restaurant.

Madeleine’s disappearance has become one of the most profile unauthorized cases of missing persons in the world.

German prosecutors have indicated evidence – including mobile phones data – showing that Brukner may have been in the area when it has disappeared, and constantly insisted on thinking that it is responsible.

However, they did not find strong enough evidence to charge.

Brukner, who spent many years in Algarve, was a drift, a small criminal and a convicted sexual criminal. It has several previous sentences, including for sexual abuse of children in 1994 and 2016.
