Watch, “Fear makes us run,” say the displaced Gazani

Thousands of families are trying to escape from Gaza, as Israeli military confirms that ground operations have begun that are part of its large -scale attack aimed at occupying the city.

Lina Al Maghrebi, 32 -year -old, the mother of three of the Sheikh Radvan neighborhood in the city, told the BBC that she resisted her to leave her home – despite the danger – until she received a phone call from an Israeli officer who ordered her to evacuate her.

“I was forced to sell my jewelry to cover the cost of displacing and tent,” she said. “It took us 10 o’clock to get to Khan Eunice, and we paid 3500 shekels (£ 735) for the ride. The line of cars and trucks looked endless.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that a “powerful operation” began in the city of Gaza, which he described as the last major fortress of Hamas.

The Israeli military has identified Al-Rashid’s coastal route as the only permitted route that civilians use for evacuation. Many have described heavy congestion, endless queues of cars and trucks and long delays, with families stuck on the road while air strikes continue over the head.

The operation has attracted a broad international condemnation, including the UN Chief of Human Rights and the German Foreign Minister.

Navi Pilee: “The Committee came to the conclusion that Israel had committed a genocide against the Palestinian people”

The United Kingdom Foreign Secretary, Yvet Cooper, called the offensive “completely reckless and terrifying”, saying that “it will only bring more bloodshed, kill more innocent civilians, and threaten other hostages.”

But US Secretary of State Marco Rubio seems to offer tacit support for Israel’s operation during a joint press conference with Netanyahu on Monday, saying that the United States is preferring a contractual end of the war, but “sometimes when you deal with a group of savages like Hamas, this is not possible.”

Israel’s growing offensive comes as the investigated United Nations Commission publishes a report on Tuesday, which is said Israel performs genocide against the Palestinians in GazaS Israel strongly rejected the report.

Nivin Imad Al-Din, a 38-year-old, mother, said she fled to the south after Israeli military planes released leaflets for evacuation in her neighborhood, even though her husband refused to leave their home.

“I couldn’t take my furniture with me because I couldn’t afford the price of a big truck,” she explained. “Leaving everything behind me was the most difficult decision I have ever made.”

The price of displacement popped out of the reach of most households. Residents said the hiring of a small truck now costs about 3000 shekels (630 pounds), while a tent for five people is on sale for about 4,000 shekels (840 British pounds). With most families deprived of income from the beginning of the war, some are forced to walk for miles or stay in their homes, despite the risks.

On Tuesday night, the Israeli military aircraft carried out a wave of heavy air strikes around the city of Gaza, with a concentrated bombing on the central Al Daraj district, the beach refugee camp to the west and Sheikh Radvan north.

The attacks were accompanied by artillery fire, a drone fire and a helicopter weapon activity.

It says that the air and ground forces will be part of the next stage of the military operation, with the number of troops increasing every day.

Residents have identified the blows at night as “hell”.
