Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang came down to the UK this week, promising to invest $ 2 billion ($ 2.6 billion) to supercharge the country’s AI startup ecosystem. UK-based self-driving Tech Startup Wave Nvidia may be one of the funds from AI investment, the company has informed TechCrunch.

Wave said that it signed a letter with Nvidia to evaluate $ 500 million strategic investment in the next Fund of UK Startup. Nvidia Wave participated in the $ 1.05 billion series C round that closed in May 2024.

A wave spokesperson confirmed that the $ 500 million temporary promise is part of the promise of NVEDIA AI startup investment.

Nvidia Due to a ceremony on Thursday £ 2 Billion Promise Venture-Capital Investors will include funds from Axel, Air Street Capital, Balderton, Hostton Ventures and Phoenix Court. A Nvidia spokesman refused to comment on the announcement of the letter.

Wave’s co-founder and CEO Alex Kendall will not supply the termination of an estimate for its series de round. Kendall said that the company was “working towards it”.

Wave, which was launched in 2017, has achieved attention and investors for its automatic driving system, which uses a self-education vs.-based system-based approach in self-driven software. The neural network from the end to the end of the wave does not require a high-definition map and only uses data to teach how the car can drive. That data-driven learning method is used for the “Ice on” assistance driving and a “Ice of” completely automatic driving system.

The company is planning to sell its “Embassary AI” to Automaker and other technology companies.

Self-teaching methods of the wave, which Tesla uses is similar to the technique that uses, is especially interesting to automackers because it is not dependent on certain sensors or maps. This means the wave system can work with existing sensors like camera and radar. Automatic driving software captures the data of those sensors, which directly notify the system’s driving decision.

And the Wave software can continue with its OM partners already on their vehicle’s chips, with a close development of startup with Nvidia since 2018.

Wave’s Generation 2 Self-driving platform, which is integrated into its Ford Mach E Test vehicles, uses the NVEDIA GPU. This week, the startup unveiled Jenner 3, a platform that used the autonomous vehicle development kit to calculate the vehicle known as NVEDIA Drive AGX Thor. Jenner 3 will allow the I-off advanced driving-help system and level 4 driverless features that will work on city roads and highways.

The Nvidia and especially the Huang Wave seem to be interested in being part of the future.

In a video on the first ride in a wave-equipped car on a public road in London, Huang said “the next trillion dollar company, you are guys”. Huang Kendall Nvidia’s Thor Developer Kit was transferred by the TechCrunch and the video that would be published soon.

“We picked him up from his hotel and went to drive around the middle London through some busy roads, including the Hyde Park Corner,” Kendall said in an interview on Friday that this is a huge quarter here. “I really loved that experience and it was nice to show him what we were always making as a result of the Nvidia platform for years.”
