US vaccine panel no longer recommends Covid-19 Jab of adults

A major US vaccine advisory committee voted to stop recommending all adults to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, which has so far been officially approved for most Americans annually after the pandemic.

The Consultative Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) also voted against intercession for Covid vaccine recipes.

For two days of meetings ACIP changed its recommendations on the vaccine for combined measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox (mmRV) and slow down plans for voting for the hepatitis B vaccine.

Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy, Jr., a skeptic of the vaccine, fired all 17 members of the committee in June and selected their heirs, igniting the riots in the medical community.

The panel spent Friday discussing the Covid-19 vaccine, which has been a routine recommendation in the last few years, such as annual influenza.

ACIP votes to abandon the wide support for JAB’s recommendation, including high -risk populations as people over 65 years of age.

Instead, he decided that they could make their own decision after talking to a healthcare professional.

In May, the Federal Government stopped recommending Covid-19 vaccines for healthy pregnant women and children.

On Thursday, the group voted against the recommendation of the combined MMRV shot for children aged four and floor.

But on Friday, they decided to approve of two separate Jabs – combined for measles, mumps and rubella and the other for chicken pox.

The American Medical Association, which represents doctors and students in medicine, said the new MMRV recommendations “leave the parents confused.”

The panel also slows down the vote on whether newborns whose mothers tested negatively for hepatitis B during pregnancy should automatically receive a JAB for the liver virus.

ACIP has questioned the hepatitis B vaccine for months, although scientists say it is safe and effective in preventing infection.

In June, the new chairman of the Panel Dr. Martin Kuldorf asked whether it was “reasonable” to give the vaccine against hepatitis B to newborns.

Since then, the number of cases of potentially fatal illness has decreased among people aged 19 and less, which experts and CDC credited with the administration of the hepatitis B vaccine.
