Staff appeared showing the public executions of three men accused of Israeli associates in Gaza.
The BBC Verify verified that the location of the executions was a street outside the Schiffa Hospital in the city center, which is at the center of the main offensive of Israeli land.
Videos, spread on Sunday night, showed at least five armed and masked men, three of the Palestinian men’s eyes, kneeling to the ground and a large crowd.
One of the armed men is heard to say, “The death sentence is resolved for all associates.”
There are cheers before the three men are pushed to the ground and shoot several times in the back of the head. The crowd then praises Hamas’s armed wing, the Qassam brigades.
The Palestinian Security Officer of the Hamas Gaza government told Reuters that the executions were carried out by the “joint operating room of Palestinian Resistance”.
This is a rare case in which public performance in Gaza was filmed on video. There were previous reports of Hamas using violence on those who disagree. In May, the Hamas -led groups performed four Palestinians for the robbery of trucks for help.
In the footage on Sunday, an armed man tormented Yasser Abu Shabab as a “main associate” whom they seek to kill.
Abu Shabab is a major figure of a clan that was reported to be armed by the Israeli government. He works in Rafa, in an area under Israeli military control. The group introduced themselves as an opposition force of Hamas.
In July, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel was arming clans in Gaza, which he said were against Hamas. However, Yasser Abu Shabab publishes online to “categorically reject” that Israel supplied his group’s weapons.
The same month, A senior officer in Hamas Security Forces told the BBC That the Palestinian armed group has lost much of its control over the Gaza Strip and that the armed clans fill the void.
Abu Shabab’s armed group advertising for recruits on social media, Reuters reported. The News Agency cites residents and sources close to Hamas that other Hamas groups also appeared in parts of North Gaza and near Khan Eunice in South Gaza.
In the meantime, Israeli troops continue to work in Gaza. The Israeli military said the troops “dismantled military infrastructure used by Hamas” and killed a Hamas cell, which attacked Israeli soldiers, injuring an officer.
She said his goals were to release the hostages, who still hold Hamas and beat up to 3,000 fighters in what he described as the “main fortress” of the group.
However, the offensive in the largest city area of Gaza, where one million people lived last month, and the hunger was confirmed last month, attracted a wide international condemnation.
Last week, a spokeswoman for the UN Humanitarian Office said she saw a steady stream of Palestinians heading south during a recent visit to the city, but that hundreds of thousands remained in the city. She described The situation in the city as “cataclyism”S
The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza in response to an attack led by Hamas against southern Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 others were hostage.
At least 65 344 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since then, according to the health ministry in the territory.
