WhatsApp users are turning the ability to translate messages into meta-owned companies in their preferred language Declaration Tuesday
Now, if users see a message in a different language, they can tap long-pressed and “translation”. Then users can choose from the language they want to translate or download it for and for future use. WhatsApp note translations that are available in chat, group and channel updates one by one.
Android users have the option of launching automated translations for a complete chat thread to view all the future messages in that conversation.
The company notes that translations occur on the user device, where WhatsApp cannot see, which means messages are encrypted.

Android users can access translations in six languages: English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic. IPhone users can do this in Arabic, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
It plans to translate messages to WhatsApp web or its Windows and Mac apps when it is unknown.
