A whole family – a married couple and their two young sons – were killed in an attack by Russian drones overnight in the northeastern region in Ukraine, local officials said.

The regional leader Oleh Hristo said that a residential building had been affected in the village of Chernehchina. The bodies of the two children, four and six years old, and their parents were later restored by the remains.

The Air Force of Ukraine said its units removed 46 of 65 Russian drones throughout the country – but there are 19 direct hits in six places.

The Russian military has not commented. A statement said that 81 Ukrainian drones were destroyed overnight in five Russian regions. No victims are not reported.

Russia began a full -scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

In a Telegram publication on Tuesday morning, Hristo accused the Russian forces of deliberately targeting a residential building in Chernechchina.

He said the loss of a whole family is “a tragedy that we will never forget or forgive.”

Later, the emergency service of Ukraine DSN later stated that two residential buildings were partially destroyed in the village.

He also posted photos showing firefighters who deal with flames after the Russian strike.

In recent weeks, Russia has strengthened its air attacks on Ukraine by regularly launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles.

Ukraine has long urged its Western allies to provide him with a sufficiently advanced air defense weapon so that he can cope with almost daily Russian blows.

Kiev is also looking for Western rockets that could hit large Russian cities away from the front line, claiming that this will seriously weaken Russia’s military industry and force Russian President Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table.

Last week, US Vice President JD VANCE has publicly said that Washington is considering Ukraine’s request for Tomahawk missile missiles, long distances, which – if delivered – would put Moscow and other major Russian cities within the reach of Ukraine.

On Tuesday, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that “we have agreed with Ukraine that a total of € 2 billion (£ 1.7 billion) will be spent on drones now.

“This allows Ukraine to scale and use its full capacity. And of course, this will also allow the European Union to take advantage of this technology,” she added.

US President Donald Trump and Europe are making efforts to end the war – but Putin has repeatedly rejected calls to end fire.

Kiev and his allies accuse the Russian president of stopping tactics, as his troops continue to make slow progress on the battlefield – despite reporting very high casualties.
