Japan’s beer-making giant Asahi stops production after cyberattack

Japanese beer Asahi and other beverage producing Bruwari Giant Asahi Group Holdings were hit by a cybertack on Monday that forced the company to stop production in its Japanese factory.

Disruptions are still reported to be going on, but there is no timeline for recovery.

Asahi group A press release has revealed the attackSaying it is feeling “a system failure” that forced the agency to suspend the order and shipment activities, as well as its call center operations.

“At this point, personal information or customer data in the external parties has not been leaked,” is written in the press notice.

Tuesday quotes a Asahi spokesperson, Reported Reuters The company that has not yet resumed production, cannot predict when the production will resume, and still investigating whether 30 plant operations across Japan have been suspended.

The company did not immediately respond to multiple questions from TechCrunch, including whether or not the data was stolen in CyberTack or whether the data was stolen.
