3 things we have learned in 8 years of coaching

In the last 8 years, we had thousands of talks with clients, rebels and community members.

We do surveys, they read the answers and listened carefully with what people struggling.

Again and again, variations of the three statements were constantly coming.

  • “Just tell me what to do.”
  • “I need to see the signs of progress.”
  • “I don’t seem to be able to stay motivated.”

Each of them reveals the basic trap I see that people belong to, and I want to help you avoid the same mistakes!

“Just tell me what to do.”

Trap: Excessive restrictive plans that leave you burnt

Need: clarity that suits you

People I talk to feel flooded and overloaded.

They already have a tone on their plate with work, family and other responsibilities.

No wonder there is a strong desire to simplify things!

But that backfires when it leads to plans that are not well suitable for your life.

Exercises that are not the right level, restrictive plans of meals and schedules that assume that you have all the time and energy in the world just leave to burn and back to the square.

We learned to emphasize Fit and flexibility first.

In this way, there is clarity at the next steps, and at the same time lead to sure that there is enough flexibility to make it good for you. ❤️

“I need to see the signs of progress.”

Trap: Jumping from one program to another

Need: multiple levels of feedback loops

Change is hard.

And it’s even harder if he feels like you’re spinning wheels and you don’t get anywhere! I bet a lot of us started a new exercise or new diet program, just step on a scale or looked in the mirror and feel deflate and like nothing happens.

This can lead to jumping programs – jumps from one to the other to another, it is difficult to assess their efficiency.

Fitness is like investment: The biggest return takes time!

So here’s how we do it: we’re following and effort and results.

  • Effort: Exercises are completed, habits are practicing, consistency
  • Results: Make a power, body composition, moving through your day easier, the quality of sleep, energy levels, etc.

They are in consistency victories early a form of progress. They are the first step in grading whether the program is good for you.

Victories in the results come later, but they are still important for consideration when assessing any changes that need to be performed.

Some tools we love to achieve each of these:

  • Tractor (effort): Each time you make a choice you are proud, add a marble (or note) into a jar. Watch it wins to rebel.
  • Diminishing sessions (Results): Place the rhythm (we recommend every 2-6 weeks) to evaluate your progress. This prevents you from adjusting things too quickly, and at the same time give you clear login points for change.

Having back loops in each of these areas facilitates the remaining of confident and patient. 🙌

“I don’t seem to be able to stay motivated.”

Trap: All-or nothing think

Need: Systems that support consistency

This is great. Life becomes messy. People get sick, work late, Chaos is going on.

It is easy to collapse from the way and blame yourself and our lack of motivation not to be able to see things.

This leads to many thinking about everything or nothing.

Or we are all in (and things go great!) Or collapse from the course and fight to go back to the track.

Here’s how to avoid that trap:

The more you exercise the implementation of these systems, will be easier to maintain the momentum. 💪

Fast list

When you look at your own plan, ask yourself:

1 Does it give me clarity that actually fit in my life?

2. Do I have loops for feedback to track effort and Results?

3. Do I have systems to help me hold on when life gets messy?

If yes … phenomenal! You are placed for success.

If not … without worries. Start with what one feels weakest and do it first.
