Rescue workers were mobilized to help hundreds of tourists caught by heavy snow in tourist campsites of the east face of Mount Everest in Tibet, according to Chinese state media.
About 350 tourists were safety and rescuers were in contact with another 200 people, Chinese state media reported.
A strong snowfall, which began on Friday night, has intensified on the eastern slopes of Mount Everest. Sudden bad weather also hit Nepal, where heavy rain and flood killed at least 47 people from Friday.
