Egypt, Turkey and Qatar leaders joined US President Donald Trump in signing a commitment to implement his plan to terminate the two -year war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza Strip.

He came at the end of a day, who saw Hamas hand over all the 20 living hostages, which he held in Gaza in exchange for the release of nearly 2000 Palestinian prisoners and detained, held in Israeli prisons.

Hamas also handed the bodies to four deceased hostages. Israel says the remains of 24 others remain in gas and must be returned without delay under the fire termination agreement.

The first phase of Trump’s plan saw that the termination of fire came into force at 12:00 (09:00 GMT) on October 10 and increased quantities of humanitarian aid enter the tape.

Israeli troops also stepped back to a line that left them under control of 53% of Gaza – the first of three stages of Israeli’s withdrawal, according to Trump’s plan.

Here’s what we know.

What is happening now?

Two elements in the first phase of the 20 -point peace plan of Trump remain incomplete – entering the aid in the gas without restrictions, including the re -opening of the intersection of Rafa with Egypt and the transmission of all the deceased hostages.

Israel said he had received the remains of four hostages on October 13th. However, he said that there were still 24 more bodies in Gaza and the deadline for returning them passed at 12:00 local time (09:00 GMT) the same day.

“We require Hamas to maintain his part of the agreement,” the Israeli official said, adding the Israeli military, “will not rest until everyone returns to their families and burying in Israel.”

A copy of the fire termination agreement published by the Israeli media last week is acknowledged that Hamas and other Palestinian factions may not be able to find all the bodies during this period of time.

In the meantime, an Israeli employee said the international working group will start working to find the remains of anyone who has not been returned.

Once an agreement is reached to end the first phase, negotiations will be launched in the second phase.

A 20-point plan that You can read entirely hereHe says that if both sides is agreed, the war will “end” immediately.

A multinational force of about 200 troops controlled by the US military will monitor the cessation of fire, according to a senior US official who added that there is no US strength to be on the spot in Gaza.

He also says that Gaza will initially be managed by a temporary transitional committee of Palestinian Technocrats – controlled by the Peace Council, headed and chaired by Trump.

The management of the strip will eventually be handed over to the Palestinian power – which administers the Western coast – after undergoing reforms.

According to the Plan Hamas – who conquered control of Gaza in 2007 by removing his rivals, a year after winning legislative elections, he will not play a future role in his rule, directly or indirectly.

The plan says Gaza will be demilitarized and all “military, terrorist and offensive infrastructure” will be destroyed.

What are the main points for bonding?

There is a chance that there will be many disputes during the negotiations on the short stages of the transaction.

Previously, Hamas refused to put his weapons, stating that it would only do it after the Palestinian State was created.

The group also did not mention disarray in their original response to Trump’s plan, nourishing speculation that his position had not changed.

And although Israel has fully agreed to Trump’s plan, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems to have stepped back to the Palestinian power involved in a post -war gas, even when he stood on the podium next to his president.

Hamas also said he was expected to have a future role in gas as part of a “single Palestinian movement”.

Another point of bonding is the degree of withdrawal of Israeli troops. Israel says his first withdrawal will see that he retains control of about 53% of gas. The White House plan shows additional withdrawals up to about 40% and then 15%.

This last stage will be a “perimeter of security”, which “will remain until the gas is properly protected from any renewable threat of terror.”

The wording here is unclear and does not give a clear timeline for the complete withdrawal of Israel – something Hamas probably wants clarity.

Who are the released hostages?

The fire termination deal is said Hamas should release all 48 Israeli and foreign hostages Still in gas after two years of war.

All of them were among the 251 people abducted during the Palestinian group attack on South Israel on October 7, 2023, during which about 1,200 other people were killed. Israel replied by launching a military campaign in Gaza during which more than 67,800 people were killed, according to the health ministry in Hamas.

On October 13, Hamas handed over 20 living hostages to two groups of the International Red Cross Committee (ICRC).

The Israeli authorities said the first group includes Eitan More, Gali Berman, Ziv Berman, Omri Miran, Alon Ohl, Guy Gilboa-Dalal and Matan Angst.

Evyatar David, Joseph-Chaim Ohana, Segev Cal Phone, Avinatan or, Elkana Bohbot, Maxim, Nimrod Cohen, Matan Zanguker, David Cunio, Eitan Horn, Rom Braslabsk

Hamas said the bodies of four were sent back to Israel on October 13 – those of Guy Iluz, Jossi Shabi, Bipin Joshi and Daniel Perez.

The Israeli military said on Tuesday that it confirmed the identity of the four hostages and pointed to two of them like Guy Iluz and Bipin Joshi.

Who are the Palestinian prisoners and detainees who have been released?

In exchange for the hostages, Israel has released 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences in Israeli prisons and 1718 detained by Gaza.

The list of prisoners, published by the Hamas prisoners, does not include high -ranking data serving multiple lifelong sentences for lethal attacks against Israeli – including Marvan Barguti and Ahmad Saatat – whose newspaper requires Hamas.

The Palestinian prisoners’ society said 88 prisoners were released on the occupied West coast and East Jerusalem, eight were released to Gaza and 154 of prisoners were deported to an unspecified destination.

ICRC said it facilitated the return of 1809 Palestinian detainees to Gaza and the west coast on October 13.

The bodies of 45 Palestinians killed during the war and taken by the Israeli military in Israel were also returned to Gaza on Tuesday afternoon.
