The remains of former President Jimmy Carter arrived in Washington from his home state of Georgia on Tuesday. His remains were traveling aboard Special Air Mission 39 from Dobbins Air Force Reserve Base to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
After a motorcade, his body arrived at the US Capitol, where it would lie in state for two days.
