Microsoft Azure is down, affecting 365, Xbox, Minecraft, and others

Microsoft Azure, the cloud computing service provided by the company, experienced a significant outage on Wednesday The problem started at noon ET, and Microsoft has been Recognized Problem with service status page.

According to Microsoft, “We suspect that an unintentional configuration change triggered this issue.” The company did not indicate when service would be restored.

Multiple Microsoft services including Microsoft 365, Xbox, and Minecraft went offline as part of the outage. The websites of other businesses such as Costco and Starbucks are also inaccessible

The outage comes just hours before Microsoft announces its earnings results this afternoon.

This follows a recent outage experienced by Amazon AWS A week ago the incident affected various websites, banks and some government services.
