Residents return to burned homes as LA fires rage

Los Angeles residents are returning to their homes to assess the damage and destruction left behind by the fires burning simultaneously across the region.

Firefighters have been unable to contain some of the fires as relentless winds continue.

The Pacific Palisades fire, now known as the city’s most destructive, destroyed more than 1,000 buildings.
