Joe Biden confirms cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas in Gaza

Joe Biden said a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas would “stop the fighting in Gaza” and increase “much-needed” humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

In an address on Wednesday, the outgoing US president also said the deal would mean Israeli hostages held in the territory would “soon” be returned to their families.
