Threads might let you add music to your posts in the future

Meta’s Threads is internally prototyping the ability to add music to posts, the company confirmed to TechCrunch. There is an option to add music to the post already available Other social apps on Meta include Instagram and Facebook. It looks like the company is now considering bringing the feature to its X competitor Threads.

The option to add music to posts can be a welcome addition for people who want to add a little more color to their posts and show off their musical taste, as it is somewhat reminiscent of the MySpace era. However, not everyone will probably be a fan of posts with music, as they can be distracting.

As with any other internal prototype, it’s unknown if or when Meta plans to launch the feature.
