Four hostages were handed over by Hamas gunmen in a heavily staged event and transferred to waiting Red Cross vehicles.
Soldiers Daniela Gilboa, Naama Levy and Karina Ariev – all three in their 20s – and Leary Elbag, 19, were taken from a military base on the Israel-Gaza border during the October 7 attacks.
It is the second installment of an Israeli hostage release and Palestinian prisoner swap since a ceasefire was agreed earlier this month.
