Toronto, Dec. 30, 2024 (Globe Newswire) – AGF Investments Inc. (AGF Investments) (TSX:AGF.B) today announced the final December 2024 cash distribution and 2024 reinvested capital gains for the AGF Investments ETFs. Toronto Stock Exchange or Cboe Canada Inc.
As of December 31, 2024, AGF Investments ETF record holders will receive (i) actual 2024 capital gains distributions paid with respect to AGF Investments on December 31, 2024; and (ii) the actual December 2024 cash distribution payable with respect to the AGF Investment ETF on January 7, 2025. Actual taxable amounts for 2024, including tax attributes, will be reported in early 2025.
Annual reinvested capital gains distributions generally represent capital gains in AGF Investment ETFs and are not paid out in cash, but are reinvested in the form of national distributions and reported as taxable. A notional distribution is when the shares from the reinvestment are combined with the shares held immediately before the distribution. The number of shares held after the distribution is therefore the same as the number of shares held before the distribution. A proprietary adjusted cost basis may increase for the applicable AGF Investments ETF.
