It doesn’t seem possible that it’s 2025. I’m old enough to remember when 2015 felt old Back to the Future Episode II. Now that was a decade ago. Basically, Time goes on And The movie you grew up with As we age, make you feel older And this happens until you die.
That was sick. sorry But when you look at the list of genre films celebrating milestone anniversaries in 2025, we promise you’ll understand. This is an incredible list of classics that came out much earlier than you actually realize. So sit back, grab some tissues and read about all the genre movies celebrating milestone anniversaries in 2025.

Phantom of the Opera – When we think of Universal Monsters we think of Frankenstein, Wolf Man, Invisible Man etc. but Phantom of the Opera Definitely one of them and this original silent version is an all time classic.
Also: The Lost World, The Wizard of Oz (It’s not even an earlier adaptation)
Bride of Frankenstein – Another Universal Monster is celebrating a milestone this year, and a new modern remake from filmmaker Maggie Gyllenhaal to boot!
Also: Captain Blood, The Raven
Fantasy, Pinocchio

the jaw – Of course it’s a big deal that Steven Spielberg’s landmark shark movie is celebrating its 50th anniversary. But, more than that, it means that modern Hollywood blockbusters are celebrating the same anniversary. It seems almost too small, doesn’t it?
Also: Death Race 2000, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Rollerball
The Empire Strikes Back – the best Star Wars The movie is turning 45 and, as exciting as it is, it’s almost more exciting/terrifying that we’re only five years away from 50 years.
