Army sent to Etosha National Park

Namibia says he sends helicopters and hundreds of soldiers to fight a fire that devastates one -third of a key nature reserve.

Etosha National Park is one of the best tourist attractions in South Africa, known for its huge salt pan, which can be seen from space. It is also home to critically endangered black rhinos.

The country’s Ministry of Environment believes that the fire broke out on Monday in the production of charcoal outside the park.

Almost a week on, he has spread to the park, killing at least nine antelopes and destroying the habitats of the wild, as well as grazing pastures in the Omusati and Osana regions bordering on Angola.
