Most helmets can be divided into three distinct categories.
A passenger or daily helmet Your head is protected and exists to keep something else. Of course, some look cool than others, some are more ventilated than others and some give a little more comfort than others. However, in the end, your daily helmet protects.
Road helmet Take the airodinamics, ventilation and weight into account. As a highly aerial sport, a road helmet must be fought with the air, controlling your body temperature and keeping your neck comfortable, which is the essential part of the road cycling.
Mountain biking helmet Offer more protection on the back of the skull, often equipped with sun-blocking visas (because the Aerodinamics is much less important in a mountain bike) and sometimes even eye protection or google clip clips include clips.
You can really enter weeds with a pebble riding, downhill or cross-nantry mountain biking, aero or a full-faced helmet. Finally, keep in mind that helmets are not worn after crash. Even if the spill is small and the helmet looks perfectly fine and seems to be trash it and get a new one.
